The evolution of nasal surgery through the use of nasal endoscopes has revolutionised this field, making the older external accesses with long personal fields now rare. Previously, operations on the nasal area required a long recovery period and bandaging of the operated area, causing considerable discomfort to patients.<\/p>

With the introduction of endoscopes, nasal procedures have become much less invasive. Modern nasal endoscopes are thin and provide a high-fidelity, high-definition image, allowing the surgeon to work effectively inside the nasal cavity without the need for extensive incisions in the face or mouth. This significantly reduces recovery time and post-operative discomfort, while improving patient outcomes and satisfaction.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Under general anaesthesia, a small lighted endoscope connected to a camera and monitor is inserted into the nose. The entire nasal cavity is examined in terms of anatomy and mucosal condition and the drainage orifices of the paranasal sinuses are identified. These cavities contain air normally and are 4 on each side: the sinus behind the cheek, the ethmoidal alveoli between the eyes, the cuneiform sinus at the bottom of the nose about halfway up and the frontal sinus at the forehead.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
